Convert PNG to AVIF
PNGs keep transparency but can be large. AVIF keeps the transparent background too and usually needs far fewer bytes, which makes it a good fit for web graphics, product cut-outs and screenshots with photos in them. ImageSpark converts your PNGs to AVIF on your own device, so nothing is uploaded.
Your image is processed by your own browser and never uploaded. Many online editors send your photo to their servers and delete it later — this one never receives it at all.

PNG to AVIF: frequently asked questions
Does AVIF keep the transparent background?
Yes. AVIF supports transparency, so logos and cut-outs keep their transparent areas, unlike JPG.
Is AVIF lossless like PNG?
Not at these settings. AVIF compresses in a way that is hard to see at high quality, which is why it gets so much smaller than PNG. For pixel-perfect copies of sharp graphics, keep the PNG or use the PNG Optimizer's lossless mode.
Which browsers can show AVIF?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all display AVIF. Keep the PNG for older software that can't open it.
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes, with Pro or Lifetime: add up to 100 images and convert them in one batch. On the free plan you can convert one at a time, 5 times a day, with no account.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, on your own device.
