Rotate and Flip Images in Your Browser

Fix a sideways photo with one click, straighten it to any angle, or mirror it horizontally or vertically. You see the change live, and the image is processed on your device rather than uploaded.

Your image is processed by your own browser and never uploaded. Many online editors send your photo to their servers and delete it later — this one never receives it at all.

Rotate & Flip: frequently asked questions

How do I rotate a photo that shows up sideways?

Drop the photo in, choose 90° or 270° until the preview looks right, and click Apply. Many cameras save orientation as a metadata flag instead of turning the pixels, so some apps display the photo sideways. The saved image has its pixels in the orientation you see, so it displays the same everywhere.

Can I rotate an image by a custom angle?

Yes. Drag the slider to straighten a tilted horizon or scan. The canvas expands so the rotated corners aren't clipped, and you choose whether those new corners are transparent, white or another colour. Crop the image afterward if you want to remove them.

How do I flip or mirror an image?

Click Flip Horizontal to mirror the image left to right, like a reflection, or Flip Vertical to turn it upside down along the horizontal axis. You can combine flipping with any rotation angle, and the preview shows the result before you save it.

Does rotating an image reduce its quality?

Rotating in 90° steps and flipping move pixels without changing them, so no detail is lost. Custom angles such as 7° require the image to be resampled, which can soften very fine detail slightly. For most photos the difference isn't noticeable.

Can I rotate several images at once?

Batch rotation is included with ImageSpark Pro and Lifetime: add up to 100 images and apply the same angle and flip settings to all of them. Free users can rotate one image at a time, up to 5 times a day, and never need an account.
