Compress an Image to 100 KB

Many upload forms, from job portals to online applications, cap photos at 100 KB. The target is already set: ImageSpark searches for the highest quality that fits under it, and shrinks the dimensions only when quality alone isn't enough. The photo is processed on your device, so it's never uploaded.

Your image is processed by your own browser and never uploaded. Many online editors send your photo to their servers and delete it later — this one never receives it at all.

Compress Image to 100 KB: frequently asked questions

How do I reduce a photo to 100 KB?

Drop the photo in; Target file size is already set to 100 KB. Click Compress Image and ImageSpark tries quality levels until the file fits, then shows the final size. Download it, or pick another target and run it again.

Will the photo look worse?

At 100 KB most photos still look good on screen, especially at the sizes forms display. Very large or detailed photos may lose some fine detail, or be scaled down a little to fit.

Should I save it as JPG or WebP?

Use JPG for forms and portals, because it's accepted everywhere. WebP fits more detail into the same size, but some upload forms don't accept it.

What if the form also has a pixel limit?

Resize the photo to the required width and height first with Resize Image, then compress it here to the size limit.

Is it free?

Yes. Compress Image is a free tool: 5 operations a day with no account, and your photos never leave your device.
