Split an Image Into a Grid of Tiles

Cut one image into an even grid for carousels, puzzle-style profile grids or large prints assembled from smaller pages. Pick a preset such as 3 × 3 or a 1 × 3 carousel, or choose up to 10 rows and 10 columns, and download every tile in one ZIP.

Your image is processed by your own browser and never uploaded. Many online editors send your photo to their servers and delete it later — this one never receives it at all.

Image Splitter: frequently asked questions

How do I split an image into equal parts?

Drop the image in, choose how many rows and columns you want, and click Split. ImageSpark divides the image into an even grid, previews it, and lets you download every tile in one ZIP. If the size doesn't divide evenly, the last row and column absorb the extra pixels.

How do I make a grid for Instagram?

Use 3 columns to match the three-across profile layout and choose 1 to 3 rows. Post the tiles in reverse order, starting with the bottom-right tile, so they line up correctly on your profile. Profile grids can crop thumbnails, so keep important details away from tile edges.

How do I split a panorama into a carousel?

Set rows to 1 and columns to the number of slides you want, such as 3 for a wide panorama. Each tile becomes one slide, and swiping through them reveals the whole scene. For square slides, crop the panorama first so its width is exactly that many times its height.

In what order are the tiles downloaded?

All the tiles come in one ZIP, named by row and column so they sort in reading order, from the top-left tile to the bottom-right. For an Instagram profile grid, post them starting from the last tile.

Is the image splitter free?

The splitter is one of ImageSpark's Pro tools, included with Pro Yearly at $40 USD per year or Lifetime at $99 USD once, paid with Bitcoin. Free tools such as Crop, Resize and Compress are available for 5 operations a day without an account.

Is my image uploaded to split it?

No. Your browser slices the image into tiles on your own device, so the full picture is never sent to a server. There's no upload wait either, so even a large grid from a big photo is generated quickly and ready to download right away.
