Compress PNG Images
Big PNGs slow down websites and bounce off upload limits. This PNG compressor reduces the colour palette (256 colours looks the same for most screenshots and graphics) and then recompresses the file with oxipng, keeping transparent backgrounds intact. It all runs in your browser, so the images are never uploaded.
Your image is processed by your own browser and never uploaded. Many online editors send your photo to their servers and delete it later — this one never receives it at all.

Compress PNG: frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my PNG get?
Screenshots and flat graphics often shrink by half or more. PNGs that are already optimized, or photos saved as PNG, shrink less; if the new file would be larger, your original is kept.
Will compressing a PNG lose quality?
At 256 colours, most screenshots, logos and graphics look identical. Choose Lossless if every pixel must stay exactly the same; the file still gets smaller, just not by as much.
Does it keep the transparent background?
Yes, including soft, semi-transparent edges.
Can I compress several PNGs at once?
Yes, with Pro or Lifetime: add up to 100 PNGs and compress them in one batch. On the free plan you can compress one at a time, 5 times a day, with no account.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression happens in your browser on your own device.
